I was in Galway for a few days...my fav city that was really great then we went to Kilala and it was pretty much out there no internet no bank or anything it was an experience now i am in Belfast which is in northern ireland tormorrow we head south to Dublin for a week don't be surprised if i don't update much or at all... P.S interesting fact the titanic was built in Belfast.
Today we walked across Cork to the Univeristy College Cork and basically got to pretend to be UCC students because we had two lectures given by UCC professors on Anthropology and History in Ireland...3 hours worth of lecture 3 continuous hours of lecture. It was very interesting learning about vikings and celts and what not but it was a lot of sitting and let me tell you a lecture is a lecture when you're sittin in a small room...BUT the campus was absolutely beautiful and i've decided to transfer. Seriously it was soooo pretty and there is frost everywhere which mixed with the greens and its just so pretty. BUT as I said cold oh course we come to Ireland from the midwest of American and what do we get the coldest weather they've seen in 50 years...yeah not ok but oh well its Ireland and I am getting over it.
Tonight I saw an Irish pan to mine which is nothing like a french pantomine...It was Aladdin and how it works is they only have these pan to mines during the christmas season and christmas just ended yesterday so we got one of the last shows. It was soo good its like a comedy musical play type thing and its family friendly and the actors get all the kids involved it was just soo good.
It's my last night in Cork, tommorrow we are moving north to Galway...my favorite city! its gonna be a long drive...yay for spending the day in a bus...at least i'll be watching the Irish country side pass by ...lame but sooo true :)
I probably won't be online as much in Galway one because I'll be too busy in my fav city by the bay and two because the internet call shop will no longer be on our street ...so look for updates soo but not too soon :)

Today we headed east to Waterford for the day spent a lot of time in the Waterford treasures museum. It was really cool they had soo many different artifacts and what not, we got tons of information it was sort of a historical overload hopefully i took good notes. FYI Henry VIII had 6 wives divorced the first beheaded the second the third died divorced the fourth beheaded the fifth and died before anything could happen to the sixth one LOL yeah for useless historical knowledge! Oh and Waterford used to be part of England because uh i don't remember why but i have it in my notes ...
Then we took a travel to the Waterford Crystal factory...it was very cool, and expensive I did not buy any. but we looked around at many decorative pieces and also saw a video on how it is made... then we had a very long jouney home oh and I got my first site of mountains today a bit snowy for my liking but i'll take it...hopefully the wicklow mountains are not as snowcapped by the time we get there.

Today we went out to Blarney castle and i climbed up to the top and laid down to kiss the Blarney stone but then just couldn't bring myself one to hang over the edge that far and two kiss something that has probably been peed on a lot and kissed by who knows who or what... LOL then we went to the Blarney woolen mill which is one of the largest in the country the other largest is the one is went to last year the Avoca mill I found a blanket that was 50 euro and i got it for 9.90 i was really happy. We then went into the town of Kinsale and ate lunch at the white house pub where i was able to get my first fish and chips of the trip...i was quite pleased. Then we went out to Fort Charles which was really cool and we could see the coast where the Lusitania sank. We were pretty much beat by the time we got back on the bus to head back to cork most of us fell asleep. We went to the english market to grab stuff for dinner , i actually went yesterday veronica would flip there is butchers everywhere..every type of meat you could think of. I make some delicious sausage nice and fresh right off the chop.
now i need to stop typing so i don't have to pay for another half hour talk to you all soon

Well Im home...its 2:48 here...which means its 8:48 back in Ireland....hmm ive been up since 6am that time...meaning midnight this time...so basicly im doing today all over again. I cant decided if im happy to be home or not...I really loved it over there, Im thinking of doing part of my student teaching over there. It is such an amazing country and I cant wait to go back again...my bank account on the other hand can wait...cuz its really hurtin I think I had a mild stroke when I looked at my account....ok well this is the official last post soo thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoyed reading about my adventures and I look forward to seeing everyone and telling you more.
So we arrived back in Dublin this morning after after getting up way to early ...it was just barely today in the U.S when the alarm went off.. so we had our 4 or so hour bus ride here and then we dropped stuff off at the same apartment as we stayed last time then we all broke off to do some shopping and internet-ing...now we are about to head back. we have a banquet tonight and we will probably go out to the pubs later and then we have a really early bus to catch to the airport tomorrow then a nice million hour flight home....actually I've decided to just live here soooo guess i wont see any of you anytime soon. ha ha ha.. ok well i should go now so see you all soon.
So this morning me and amanda and kelsey and kaitlyn got up and went out to breakfast and this small little place and it was quite interesting black and white pudding is NOT really pudding FYI... but everything else was good bacon egg sausage toast beans and chips(french fries) and breakfast tea. then we went into the city center and did a bit of shopping and met back around 1:15 to go horseback riding which was fun. it was a small family farm and they do horse training on the saturdays so we get there and they ask who has the most experience and somehow it ended up being me since i was most confident and so i got the owners prize horse...who happens to be a Grade A jumper...well we rode up into the mountains and it was really pretty and kaitlyn's horse was being stuborn so we turned around and the little log my horse had walked over decided going back over it he needed to jump so he galloped and took a leap and i about peed myself i was totally not expecting it...but it was kinda fun then when we got back the girl leading us was only 14 but she has been riding since she was 3 so she took us into the ring and let us gallop around and have some fun then did a few jumps for us...then she set the bars low and let all four of us try and of course everyone elses just did a small little leap my grade A jumper speeds up and lunges over im pretty sure the look of terror on my face was quite amusing not to mention my heart stopping look when i saw my horse go for the big jump luckily i got him to sway away...ha ha ha then we did it again. it was soooo much fun.now i must get back to work since i need to pack tonight and have everything done so we can go back to dublin early tomorrow morning... this may be the last post til i get back i may or may not pay to go to the internet cafe in dublin tomorrow.
So its been a few days I'll have to try to catch myself up here....
Tuesday...
We had and inauguration party and had pizza and salad that Luther College bought us so that we could have a party and would be apart of such a historic event...and our landlord was really nice and knew we were having a little party to celebrate so he brought us two bottles of champagne to celebrate president bush leaving LOL. It was really fun and we all created Obama decorations which was really cool...and yeah thats about it.
Wednesday...
It was a studio day all we did was work all day then we went to the original Claddah shop and most of us bought rings.
Thursday..
This was an awesome day no work all exploring and we had a bus and we went all over the place... we went to the cliffs of moehr and up into some mountains and to the burren and to bridgets well and left coonkeys..idk if that is what they are called it is like a pilgrimage place. and then we went to a pub for lunch and kyleen and i decorated american dollar bills and left them as our mark to add to their wall of them...then that was pretty much it.
Friday...
It was our last work day sooo we have been working all day and all night i have completed two books today and im still trying to finish two other ones tomorrow is a free day soo i may have to finish then but a few of us or planning on horse back riding in the mountain its a bit pricey but an experience i dont want to pass up. as for tonight i will continue working on my books but at 10 im probably going out because the first official gay club opens in ireland here in town and Danny really wants to go and there is no way any of us are letting him go alone soo a few of us said we would go with him and then we will probably find a small little pub to go to afterwards...
Well im caught up for now....

Sunday...
So Amanda and I thought it would be cool to go to church in another country soooo since this was the only free Sunday we figured it was a good time to do it...and we ended up getting Kelsey and Kaitlyn to go too...and since we couldn't find a Lutheran church we went to an Irish Catholic church, which was and interesting experience. So yeah 3 Lutherans and a Roman Catholic walk into and Irish Catholic Church...and none of them understand what to do...ha ha ha. It was soo quick they talked a million words a minute and the pastor started out the service with a quote from President Barack Obama. Then the rest of the day we worked on studio stuff and went exploring since we had not seen much of the town yet...and we ended up going out later and went to some interesting club because Danny really wanted to go find a gay bar sooo a bunch of us ventured out to find this place and it was closed so we walked around looking for something fun. then we finally got home at like 2:15.
Monday...
Today was pretty mellow we just really did studio work and thats it and we had homemade tacos for dinner and Danny and I went out to the Bay and collected seashells which was really fun and now my shoes are drenched and will hopefully be dry by morning since we are going out of town tommorrow. but yeah we really didnt do much except studio work today so i have nothing more to say.
